Your license follows the service. If ownership changes, your Lifetime access and its protections remain valid — the service-end protection below applies regardless of ownership changes.
You get ≥12 months notice, and your $2,800 is treated as a prepaid Scale subscription: the months you have used are counted at the Scale list price ($120/mo) and the remainder is refunded to you. Example: if we close after 2 years, 24 months × $120 = $2,880 — meaning at the Scale list price your payment is already fully earned (at the current $84/mo launch price, 24 months = $2,016, so ~$784 would be refunded). A free self-hosted license is an Enterprise option, not part of Lifetime.
